![]() ![]() Val Kaeli and the Helkan Districtīefore I get into the details of this area, I should mention that it’s technically not far off the beaten path experienced members of the Federation tend to get sent to the provinces north of Kaiator like these to help with fighting against the Argons, but lately so many have been diverted to Val Oriyn in Northern Arun that this whole region is a lot less populated. Helping out the locals here will mean a lot of long trips since the area is so large and flat, so I mainly recommend sightseeing here if you want to check out the unique and mysterious landmarks in the area, like the Wendigoes’ Azurice Shrine, or fight the sorts of creatures you rarely find anywhere else like the Barsicores. If you want to spend more time in the snow though, the southernmost roads of Frost Reach have a variety of odd landmarks and rare BAMs, which can be a fun test of skill. Most travelers only spend time in the areas of Mount Tyrannas and Tempest Reach to the north, which host some interesting wilderness of their own and have a lot to do. Walking around can be trouble especially if you’re short (sorry all you Popori out there), since there are a handful of spots where the puddles are too deep to walk across, and if you stumble into one while you’re fighting, it could spell trouble.įrost Reach is a fairly massive and rarely traveled area, known for its vast open fields of snow. On the other hand, I’m not sure whether it’s because the place is a swamp, or because of the creepy frog balloons the Tuwangis keep everywhere, but I can never bring myself to stay there long. It’s the closest place to Velika on this list so it’s the easiest to get to for new adventurers, and is a fairly vibrant wetland full of small ponds and inhabited by the Tuwangis, as well as these colorful little lizards that I find completely adorable. Just past the farmsteads of the Fey Forest and Celestial Hills is Tuwangi Mire. Federation outposts are fairly spread out too, so there aren’t many safe spaces in the corrupted farmland either. Most people stick to the other roads in the area, unless they’re interested in helping out the few locals in the maze-like ravine deal with the dangerous wildlife. If you decide to make the trip through it, the first thing you’ll probably notice is that it looks almost exactly like the rest of the Poporia area – the same sorts of creatures live in the area, including the same rogue Vampirs you’ll find in the more well-traveled Vale of the Fang to the north. Paraanon Ravine is one of the less impressive side areas in TERA, for a handful of reasons. For the record, these are specifically all places that major missions won’t take you through, but they all have things that can make them worth a visit – I’ll mainly be judging them based on what creatures, quests, or other active content there are, and the region’s actual environment. Today, I’ll be reviewing a handful of those places in TERA so that you can decide for yourself what’s worth travelling off the beaten path to see, and what’s not worth the time or effort. That said, there’s obviously a lot that people don’t tend to see while just wandering around. Then, fight the secret faction of the Red Raiders, defeating their leader, and putting a stop to his abominable plans in Grotto of Lost Souls.I always try to reiterate as often as I can that Arborea is a vast world, with a lot of hidden locales and interesting secrets. Put these brand new Apex skills to the test in two new dungeons-and earn some loot and enchanting materials in return! First, unmask the leader of the Red Raiders and uncover a secret faction within their ranks in Dark Reach Citadel, taking on the element-changing golem Apetus. Beat the Apex questline and earn new skills! To unlock these powerful new Apex skills players must be level 65 with an item level 439, at which point they can travel to Highwatch and start the Velika Banquet quest. Apex skills are unique and powerful class-specific abilities that add new ways to play and specialize in various combat roles. ![]() ![]() Now every class in TERA can reach their full potential with Apex skills. ![]() October’s Dark Reaches update brings several major changes to the TERA experience, including the Apex skills system for the remaining classes – Archer, Gunner, Ninja, Reaper, Sorcerer and Valkyrie, two new level 65 dungeons, an updated UI, and the Compliment System. En Masse Entertainment, a player-driven publisher focused on delivering great games and great service, today released another free update for TERA, their flagship True Action Combat MMO on PC. ![]()
